SERVICES

TWENTY-FOUR YEARS OF KEEPING THE GREEN IN GREENDALE!

WELCOME TO THE GREENDALE CIVIC GARDEN CLUB!The Greendale Garden Club is proud of the work we accomplished in 2015, and want to thank our members for making it all possible!Your membership donation enhanced the quality of life for our residents and provided a beautiful welcome to visitors. Here’s what your membership dollars accomplished:Vibrant mixed annuals were purchased and planted at the following locations throughout Greendale:

Forty-eight street sign baskets on Ridge and Nowlin Avenues and in Valley Woods.Bountiful double pole-mounted baskets in Greendale Park to accent our fantastic new pool and at four locations on Ridge Avenue.Hayrack planters at the Police Department and Clerk-Treasurer’s office.Large planters at the Utility Building and Mayors Office, in Schnebelt and Cook Parks, near the refreshment stand at the Pool, and at both entryways into Greendale Cemetery.Colorful annuals added to enhance landscaped areas in six of our city parks, at public buildings, and at historic markers.Garden Club volunteers led the city-wide clean-up last May and installed City-purchased swags on park and entryway signs for the Christmas holidays. We sponsored the Kids’ Bike Parade July 4th.Garden Club volunteers helped Civil City workers plant trees and perennials in parks and public areas. We decorated the interior of the Cabin for Christmas, purchasing a new tree and wreaths for all the ground-floor windows and dressed the decorative urns at the Ridge Avenue Greendale Cemetery entrance.

We take real pride in the important national recognition we have been given through awards and written evaluations from America In Bloom, the national organization dedicated to recognizing communities that excel in working together to improve the quality of life for their residents.

Most important to us, however, is the spirit of cooperation and continuing support of Greendale families and businesses and our other  friends who appreciate the work we do and the pleasure they get from our efforts.
Our membership form includes a meeting schedule.  When you send in your form, detach the meeting schedule and keep it as a handy reminder. Come if you can.
You’re encouraged to join us for our scheduled clean-up day May 15th.  If you have time, sign up to help adopt a park or public planting during the summer growing season.
